- LOCAL UTILITIES & SERVICES
Have we contacted all appropriate local utilities and service providers in advance to set up account activation and billing? Items can include: Hydro, heating, gas, cable, internet, home phone, insurance coverage. See Related Local Links for references.
- MOVE-IN MEETING
Have we booked a meeting with the building manager or superintendent to:- Complete a move-in Inspection
- Provide a completed Lease
- Provide the Balance Owing
- Receive Keys to the Unit
- Provide Photo ID for each occupant
- Provide Post-Dated Cheques for the entire initial term.
- LEASE
Have we fully completed and have prepared (1) original lease document, with all appropriate initials, signatures, and information to bring to our move-in meeting with the building superintendent?
- DEPOSITS
Have we prepared a Bank Draft, Certified Cheque or Cash for the final balance due, that we will bring to our move-in meeting?
- POST-DATED CHEQUES
Have we prepared post-dated cheque for the entire initial term, to hand in at Move-in meeting?
- PHOTO ID
Do we have appropriate Photo ID for each person which will be living in the unit? (guarantor's not required) Acceptable ID are: Driver's License, Passport, or Health Card.
If you have all of these things prepared and in order, you can now save your strength for moving day !
